HDR button in displays randomly turns off

I have an M2 MacBook Air, hooked up to a Dell Monitor with HDR capability. When HDR is on, it looks great. Here's the problem — about 20% of the time when I close the MacBook or disconnect it to take it to work, the button decides to turn itself off when I reconnect them/open the laptop and stay off, and I have to manually click it back on.

Is there either some way to fix that or a hot key method to just hit a button and make it turn back on?(without having to go to settings, then displays, then to the external monitor option, and then hit the button)
