802.1x incorrect Hostname

Currently having an issue with the incorrect hostname being provided by a MacBook Air running Monterey. When the MacBook connects to our wifi and is going through 802.1x authentication with PEAP MSCHAPv2, in the response information provided by the MacBook it is only providing a generic hostname name of macbook-air.

We are using a MDM profile and the MacBook is bound to Active Directory. I have updated both the computer name and hostname using scutil but the MacBook still only provides a generic hostname of macbook-air.

Has anyone else been able to get MacOS to provide the correct hostname without using additional tools/software?
