Active Directory Authentication Server Could Not be Contacted

It appears that Active Directory is broken in MacOS 13 Ventura. I have tried everything from flushing DNS cache to binding via Terminal. Nothing will allow the bind to my Active Directory Domain Controller. Directory Utility will not even allow connection to the bound AD server on another of my Macs. Note to anyone that requires authentication through AD do NOT update to Ventura. Anyone else having this problem?

Double check that your changes to HOSTS did save...

1) Run sudo nano /etc/hosts

2) Down Arrow key to bottom of file

3) Enter ip address tab key and then AD host domain name

4) Save by pressing control key and O and then press Enter

5) Quit by pressing control key and X

I will try adding the Active Directory Domain Controller in the HOSTS file and report back. I did see some post on the web about adding the IP address and the DNS name to the HOSTS file but I did not want to make such a drastic update. It worked fine in MacOS 12 Monterey I was hoping it would just work on Ventura without any messing around. What could make Ventura work so differently than Monterey?

I edited the HOSTS file and added the IP and DNS name and still cannot bind to the Active Directory. Any other ideas? I feel that AD is busted in Ventura. That is why it worked on Monterey and not in Ventura. This used to be a normal issue when updating MacOS in the past I particularly remember similar issues on MacOS X 10.9 - 10.15.
