Repeated calls not getting through in Sleep focus

I had my iPhone SE (running iOS 16.2) set to Sleep focus when someone not on my favorites list tried to call twice in one minute (according to my incoming calls list) but the call didn’t get through even though I have the allow repeated calls option turned on in my sleep focus settings. I also have my Apple Watch Ultra on my wrist and set to mirror my iPhone focus settings.

Neither device made a beep or tap while the calls were happening and only silently displayed missed calls notifications after the fact.

Has this happened to anyone else and might it be a bug in the latest iOS and Watch OS versions?

Hello kallekilponen,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. In order for repeated calls to go through while enabling Focus on your iPhone, follow these steps:

Allow or silence notifications from specific people during a Focus
1- Go to Settings  > Focus, then choose a Focus—for example, Do Not Disturb, Personal, Sleep, or Work.
2- Tap People (or tap Choose People), then do one of the following:
• Allow specific people: Tap Allow Notifications From, tap the Add People button, then select from your contacts.
You can also turn on options to allow calls from certain groups of people and allow repeated calls (two or more calls from the same person within 3 minutes).
