USB-C Digital AV Multiport Adapter

I currently have a MacBook Air 2017 (13 inch) and I'm currently using a thunderbolt adapter to power my HDMI cable for my external monitor. However, I just purchased an Apple mouse to use and discovered that I don't have anywhere to plug it in to pair to my MacBook. Does anyone know if the USB-C digital AV Multiport Adapter on Apple's website will work with my MacBook. I didn't see it listed but wasn't sure if that meant it might work with mine.

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 12.6

The 2017 MacBook Air has no USB-C ports, so nowhere for you to plug USB-C Digital AV adapter in. The adapter plugs into a USB-C port on compatible Macs.

The 2017 MacBook Air has 2 regular USB-A ports, and 1 Thunderbolt port.

You can plug the mouse into either of the USB-A ports or into the thunderbolt port via a thunderbolt 2 dock with USB ports.

Or you can get a USB HUB to have more USB ports.
