Revert to earlier version than IOS 16.2 since IOS 16.2 ON TWO IPHONE 12 PRO: After successful download of ios 16.2 (not 16.0.2) we had to reinstall outlook and msn for emails. Battery level decreased to 90% from 100% in about ten minutes. Use of phone (calling first number after downloading) had to be reentered. All was working well prior to 16.2

No you cannot downgrade iOS. But for the battery drain: battery drain after a major update is normal, because of that your iPhone is indexing in the background

Turn off Background App Refresh. Settings > General Background App Refresh > choose Off

I updated to 16.2 and the update changed the setting to ON which made every app consume power. I contacted Apple Support and the helpful person suggested I set it to Off. Did that and the power consumption seemed to decline.
