ING Banking App - "A problem re-install from Backup"

The issue has plagued my iPhone since moving from Android in April - I have not been able to successfully login to the iOS ING app. The error message is as follows:
There was a problem with reinstalling the app from backup.
Easy fix: please uninstall the app, then reinstall from the App Store.
I have re-installed, and re-authenticated countless times (>20) and have not had any success. I have a feeling this might be on the ING developer side. Maybe common to people who have had Android devices previously.
Anyone else experience the same? Could it be a "cloud" issue? (Note, I've tried to remove any data - pretty sure there is none - but it's hard to access everything in backend iCloud)
