ING Banking App - "A problem re-install from Backup"

Hi,

I have the exact same problem as this user > Problem reinstalling app from backup!! Fi… - Apple Community


The issue has plagued my iPhone since moving from Android in April - I have not been able to successfully login to the iOS ING app. The error message is as follows:


There was a problem with reinstalling the app from backup.

Easy fix: please uninstall the app, then reinstall from the App Store.


I have re-installed, and re-authenticated countless times (>20) and have not had any success. I have a feeling this might be on the ING developer side. Maybe common to people who have had Android devices previously.


Anyone else experience the same? Could it be a "cloud" issue? (Note, I've tried to remove any data - pretty sure there is none - but it's hard to access everything in backend iCloud)

If a third-party app isn't working as expected on your iPhone, you'll want to start by making sure you tried all these steps to see if they resolve the issue for you:

4. Delete the app, then redownload it
Delete the app. When you do this, you might lose data that was stored in the app. Then redownload the app. Then check to see if the problem with the app is fixed.
