Allright it's not that big but how to delete the freeform app when not used?
Using the finder it's not possible to delete this application, but also not possible using the commandline rm command...
Some suggestions??

" FreeForm " application is Baked Right Into the Operating System.
It can not be deleted / removed - period.
Ventura macOS 13, the Operating System resides in a Sealed and Read Only Volume that can not be opened by the User
The best that can be done is leave it alone and do not use it.
The application only occupies about 22 MB of Space on the drive
Use the ➙ Force Quit menu option to force quit the app.

Perhaps, you are correct. Fortunately, FreeForm is an Apple app.

As a rule of thumb, if the question begins with 'why...' then only Apple can answer it. The rest of us can guess, some quite knowledgeably, but for a definitive answer you'll need to contact Apple directly.

iOS is iOS and macOS is macOS
Though the two Operating Systems are Apple OSes - they work differently
They created Freeform and built it directly into the computer's motherboard. Because of this, Freeform cannot be accessed by the uninstaller or the delete button or by dragging it to the trash bin. You can kind of think of it as when the program was installed they built a strong fortress around the program so that no one could get into it to delete it. That's the best I can do to explain it to you. Hope it helps.
Been following this thread because I simply want to know how to delete freeform from the Dock. I don't care about the app itself I never use it, don't care to use it. But I only have a 13" monitor and limited vision and would like to make my icons in the Dock as large as possible, and yea they aren't going to get that much bigger if I only delete one, but I would like a logical explanation of why its critical that this app appear in my dock??

In addition to everyone else's comments, FreeForm is merely 49.3 MB in size. It is insignificant and has has no negative affect on a users available drive space. That said, If any user is running their system that close to the maximum in terms of drive space, that they are looking to free up 50 MB's they will be having many other performance issues due to lack of sufficient drive space for the OS to operate properly.

Well, it just appeared 15 minutes ago when I upgraded from Monterey to Ventura. Plopped out on the far right end of my Dock. Yes, I was able to delete off the dock but still...
Please. It was conscience and purposeful to upgrade for security, not to add Freeform.
You'll have to ask Apple that. We're all end users like yourself.
