ARP - how to open SSH from ARP on Monterey OS?

Hello everyone,

I would like to ask - how to open SSH using Apple Remote Desktop? I'm on my MacOS 10.14 trying to open SSH using Apple Remote Desktop and on MacOS 10.10 - 10.14 works fine, but problem is from 10.15 an error occured.

Command, which is there "systemsetup -f -setremotelogin on" doesnt work, because an error occurs: "setremotelogin: Turning Remote Login on or off requires Full Disk Access privileges."

I already put in Security - Privacy check for "SSHD-keygen-wrapper". Should I add something else?

Can anyone help pls?

Thanks a lot!

Kind regards.

Hello,

this is not a solution. This is general information, how to open manually SSH access into specify computer. But I wanted to send a request from ARD.

I found out, that you have to add to "Full disk access" app named ARDAgent.app (location: /System/Library/CoreServices/RemoteManagement/ARDAgent.app) and then it works.

Hi Patrikus77,

For help with Remote Login, test the steps below found in the article here: Allow a remote computer to access your Mac

"Set up Remote Login on your Mac

  1. On your Mac, choose Apple menu  > System Preferences, click Sharing, then select Remote Login.
  2. Select the Remote Login checkbox.
  3. Selecting Remote Login also enables the secure FTP (sftp) service.
  4. Specify which users can log in:
    • All users: Any of your computer’s users and anyone on your network can log in.
    • Only these users: Click the Add button , then choose who can log in remotely. Users & Groups includes all the users of your Mac. Network Users and Network Groups include people on your network."

You can also find helpful information here: Use the systemsetup command-line utility on macOS Catalina 10.15

Cheers.
