App passwords not showing up in keychain

I recently installed a banking app on my iPhone 12 Pro running IOS 16.1 and have enabled faceID, which works fine. I wanted to use the browser on my Mac to access the account, but there was no record of the user name or password in the keychain.

Am I missing something here? Has something changed? this used to work.

Hi Jay_63,

The article Set up iCloud Keychain covers the steps to ensure this feature is configured on your iPhone and other devices. Please note that this feature works with Safari, and not every site may support autofill of your stored information.

To view stored passwords or manually enter information for a site, follow View your passwords and related information on iPhone.

Regards.

I'm not sure I was clear enough describing the problem. When I set up the app on my iPhone and input user credentials and set up Face ID, it appears that the information, while stored somewhere, isn't accessible through the Passwords menu pick in Settings.

Why is this? I'm pretty sure I used a default Strong Password, so I have no clue what it is.

Again, this is new behavior and does not help me do things like maintaining the app or using across platforms.

What changed and how do I get the information back?

And, yes, password storage is correctly set up across my devices.
