Transparent PNG files not working on iPhone

How am I able to get rid of the white backgrounds on my png images? I used to not have this issue but ever since getting iOS 15 this has been a problem. All my png images that once had a transparent background now all have a white background automatically applied to them. Oddly enough when I look at the same images on my old iPad that doesn’t support iOS 15 and above, the images still retain their transparency. I can also download a transparent image on my iPhone and it’ll have the white background automatically applied but when I look at the same picture on the iPad, it doesn’t have that issue.

I’ve already restarted my iPhone and did a factory reset too to see if that would fix the issue and it did not.
