Well typing in the messages app on an iPhone if I accidentally select and delete text can I undo that action?

Well typing text in the Messages app on an iPhone 13 pro if one accidentally selects and deletes a portion or the entirety of your draft is there a way to undo that key stroke thus Replacing the text

Only if you have previously set 'Shake to Undo’. Go to Settings > Accessibility > Touch, and switch on the Shake to Undo slider. This feature enables you to undo the last action (typing, deleting, etc). Shaking again undoes the action before that and so on. The downside of leaving this permanently 'on’ is that, when returning to your notes app for instance, you could find it asking you:
