My macbook air account is locked

Unfortunately i’ ve locked my MacBook Air and my respective account. I have tried to restart, did so, but now it doesn’ give me the chance to log in with my apple i. What should I do?

How is your MacBook Air locked exactly? It sounds like it wasn't accepting your login password. If that's the case, you'd want to follow these steps to solve that:


  1. If you forgot your Mac login password
  2. If you can't reset your Mac login password


In case this was for your Apple ID, see these related steps:


  1. If you forgot your Apple ID email address or phone number
  2. If you forgot your Apple ID password 


And lastly, if this was able Activation Lock. You'd need to know the Apple ID and password in order to remove Activation Lock. See the following: Activation Lock for Mac
