Search for "Apple Home" when trying to reinstall the Home app. It should find it more quickly. Note that if you've upgraded all of your devices to 16.2 and accepted the option to upgrade your Home to the new architecture, then your iPad is no longer able to function as a home hub. Hey bhamzoo,

It's normal for your iPad to not show the Home app in the Settings app. It's not expected for it to appear there. Instead, you'd want to search for the app on your iPad. If you're not seeing it on your Home Screen, try searching for it using Spotlight by swiping down on your display. If you're unable to find the Home app, perhaps you deleted it by mistake. In that case, reinstall Home by searching for it in the App Store.

For more info on doing so, check out these steps:

Restore a built-in app that you deleted
1. On your iOS or iPadOS device, go to the App Store.
2. Search for the app. Make sure that you use the exact name of the app.
3. Tap the Redownload button .
4. Wait for the app to restore, then open it from your Home Screen.

If you have an Apple Watch, restoring an app to your iPhone also restores that app to your Apple Watch.

This is outlined further in the following resource: Delete built-in Apple apps from the Home Screen on your iOS 14 or later or iPadOS device or Apple Watch

We hope this information helps out.

Take care!
