Kindle won’t load on iPad IOS16.1.1

How to open Kindle on iPad using IOS 16.1.1? Works fine on iPhone and on my previous iPad (7th gen). That iPad went kaput and was replaced from Apple Store with a new 7th gen. All the other apps seem to have loaded from the cloud just fine.

I have tried a forced restart and reloading Kindle from the App Store.

Suggestions?

iPad, iPadOS 15

I would start by updating your iPad to the current version of iPadOS which is 16.2.

Once that’s done, re-install the Kindle app from the App Store. Apps are never stored in iCloud, by the way. The cloud icon next in the App Store just means you’ve downloaded/purchased the app already.

The iPad Kindle app was a bit flakey for a while. Most of the posts I’ve seen indicate the issue has been resolved, though.
