Removed Computers, removed Remote Desktop.

Rebooted both Macs

Reloaded Remote Desktop from Apple store, added computer.

No change. Since update 'Screen sharing cannot verify the authenticity of' ..... my other Mac

In System Settings on both machine OFF 'Screen Sharing is currently being controlled by the Remote Management service' but Remote Management needs to be ON (therefore screen sharing OFF) for contact to be made.

Thank you for your help.

It won't let me.

If I ask to control the other computer which it see (correct name, available, IP, DNS) it says cannot verify ......

(Hostname of remote computer is correct).

You might be connecting to a server that is pretending to be “xxxc xxx xxxx Intel (6)” which could put your confidential information at risk. Would you like to connect to the server anyway?

Continue or cancel. Continue just redisplays the popup.
