Apple Watch Update 9.2

Apple Watch 7

I know it’s a minor thing but I used to have SUNRISE/SUNSET on the bottom of my Apple Watch Utility face and it would give me the time and how many hours until sunrise or sunset.

Since the update, only the words show up.

I’ve updated my iPhone 13 Pro Max to 16.2 OS, turned them both off and on, changed the watch face, and it still does not show time for sunrise/sunset.

Any ideas?

Thank you!

This is what I see on my SE 2022 so I throw in a few possibilities at random!

I was asked to allow the app to use my precise location - check your location services defaults in the iPhone location services.

Settings, privacy & Security, Location Services, Weather

Also

On the Watch app: Go to Weather > Default City > My Current Location

On the Watch app: Go to General > Background App Updates > Weather > "On"

If you tap on the complication does it show the information you want

I doubt if it is a model difference so I can only suggest you first try a forced restart

i.e. press and hold both the side button and Digital Crown for at least 10 seconds, then release both buttons when you see the Apple logo.

If that is no help

Unpair and erase your Apple Watch

and then

Set up your Apple Watch

Lol! I hadn't noticed it until I read your post, but my time was blank too! I immediately went into the Location services in my iPhone and found that the watch face had been changed to "Ask Next Time or When I Share". I changed it to "While Using the App" but it still didn't show the time. Then I clicked on it from my watch face and my watch (Series 8) asked me about using my location. I basically said, "Yes" and now it works.

Too funny, but you were right! It was working prior to the update!
