Apple Pay not functioning properly

Hello

I am able to add my card into the wallet, and upon double clicking the lock button, I can use my face ID to activate it and they give me the message “Hold Near Reader”.

However, here comes the problem, nothing happens when I tap it on the terminal, neither the phone nor the terminal goes through with it. It is just on the “Hold Near Reader” icon and stays like that.

I tried restoring my phone as well as removing and adding the card back. I only have 1 card in my wallet. I have used the same phone on the same terminal before and it works but now it does not.
