In settings it is asking to confirm Iphone settings? Is it legitimate or trying to hack my phone?

You have to do it more than once because the vulnerability is present more than once.
Apple changed the way that worked because of a recently discovered vulnerability that would allow a hacker to create an unprotected backup of an iOS device without the knowledge of the owner, so Apple add a requirement to always require a passcode to be entered on the phone before backing up to a computer. This to assure that the backup was intentional.

I have had to confirm my passcode multiple times and it keeps coming up in my settings. I do not have advanced data protection on so I’m not sure why this is happening.
i have a pop up asking me to entire my iPhone password to continue using iCloud. Is this a legitimate Apple request or a scam?

There’s nothing that anyone can do to stop this. Except Apple.
It asks about once a week and is annoying at best. I’m not sure of purpose but for sure it isn’t to back up to a computer. I never do that

I hate that. I want automatic backups to both my Mac and the cloud every day.

I’m still getting this at least once a week. Apple support had no idea and had to escalate it. Is this just something we have to live with from now on?
Same, except I’m having to enter mine 1-2x per day. It’s really frustrating, especially since I just installed another update and a security fix, and it still isn’t resolved.
