NoSamsungHere ~ iPhone X was discontinued on September 12, 2018 – so even without knowing the max cap %, it's likely that the original battery is weak due to age and multiple charging cycles. Have the battery replaced:

Try again, and when you see Slide… keep holding until you see an Apple logo.


And if it still doesn’t work contact Apple about a hardware repair.
