Can I stop my mouse pointer from disappearing?

I use an Apple Magic Mouse with my 2016 MacBook Pro. The mouse pointer, by design, disappears while I'm typing and reappears as soon as I move the mouse. It's a nice feature ... except when it's not.

I also use Windows 10 via Parallels on my Mac. I also use Microsoft Office 365. When I use Word on the Mac side, the vanishing mouse pointer behaves just fine. In Word on the Windows side, however, the vanishing mouse pointer becomes a problem.

In Windows/Word, I have to vigorously shake my mouse to bring back the pointer. I can see the mouse pointer while I shake the mouse, but I have to click to find where the insertion point has landed. My question: Is there a way to turn off the vanishing feature? In the best of all possible worlds, I'd like to just turn off this vanishing act only in Windows, but I'll settle for a kill switch that covers everything if that's the only choice. I don't see a setting in System Preferences >> Mouse that would let me do that. Any suggestions?

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 12.6
