Double click on mouse does not select/highlight the word under cursor

A few days ago I noticed that double clicking the mouse does not highlight/select the word under the cursor anymore. I can select it with a single right click, but that of course also opens the context menu which I don't want. On the touchpad everything works just fine though. I have no idea what could have cause this behaviour. Since I use a Logitech unifying wireless mouse (M705) I thought it might have been caused by some mouse SW, but the problem still occurs with a 'normal' wired mouse. Booting the macBook into safe-mode did not help either. Problem already existed before updating yesterday from 13.1 to 13.2

Any ideas someone?

Found the problem. Double-click interval was set all the way to high. So my double clicks were just to slow 😀. No idea how that had happened.
