iOS 16 pro motion stutter and lag

I’ve been using my 13 pro max for a few months and ever since I’ve updated to iOS 16 pro motion feels choppy. Its almost like it’s capped at 70-80hz and rarely reaches the full 120hz. This is especially noticeable when swiping through the Home Screen and when closing or switching between apps. iOS 16.2 has also introduced some stutter and lag in normal usage where it randomly stutters for no apparent reason.

The Notification Center is also almost always locked to 60hz.

I compared my iPhone with my friends Samsung which also has a 120hz display and the Samsung blows ProMotion out of the water, it’s not even comparable. I expected better performance from a thousand dollar phone.

Please fix.

ProMotion doesn't make sense when Low Power Mode is activated, so make sure you have closed Low Power Mode. Here's an article about ProMotion Customize iPhone for motion sensitivities - Apple Support

I have this too on my 13 Pro on iOS 16.2, barely anything ever feels like its on 120hz, maybe like 80/90hz like you mentioned. I can DEFINITELY feel the difference when i compared a Samsung A52 on 120hz, scrolling and all in many apps is MUCH smoother.

Many apps like Spotify show some kind of stutter when scrolling, not all the time, but most of the time, so im kinda disappointed and hope this gets its attention and get a possible fix.

Low power mode is off, so is limit frame rate and reduce motion. This is not user error.
