Animation Codec does not open with Quick Time 10.5

I made animation codec .mov in OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard and 10.11 El Capitan QuickTime Player. macOS 13.1 Ventura QuickTime Player can not play it.

I did a quick test and could convert it with ffmpeg to a .mp4 that Ventura QuickTime Player can play (here the default quality settings for H.265 i.e. '-crf 28 -preset medium'):

ffmpeg -i input.mov -c:v libx265 -pix_fmt yuv420p -crf 28 -preset medium -timecode 00:00:00:00 -tag:v hvc1 -c:a aac -b:a 128k output.mp4

If you do not want to use the Terminal, also Handbrake can convert animation codec to H.264 or H.265 .mp4 that current QuickTime Player can read.

Or use IINA or VLC to play the old movie.
