Chrome flickering in safe mode boot:

I already posted another question earlier so I apologize for the bombardment of questions but

When I started up in safe mode as suggested by whatever I found online to see what my MacBook's problem was, Chrome & only the chrome app would flicker constantly like it was about to crash. But when I booted my mac in normal mode, it goes back to not flickering. Is this supposed to happen?
