I’m having the same issue and have tried the steps above but it didn’t fix it. Does anyone know how to resolve this?

When you activate an iPhone 14 on Verizon their automated system does not set up MMS correctly. To fix it you need to call Verizon tech support (611 on your phone), tell the nice representative who answers that you need to speak to a senior tech to fix a problem with the provisioning of MMS on your account. This is a universal problem with the iPhone 14 provisioning by Verizon, so the tech should know how to fix it. And hopefully the 1st tier reps will eventually learn also.

Hello Angela_F,

We would like to see how we can help you with your Messages not sending as expected. Have you been able to confirm with your carrier, that you can send and receive SMS messages? Check out this link for more information: If you can't send or receive messages on your iPhone or iPad

"If you have issues with Messages after you set up a new device

If you experience issues like conversations in Messages showing up as separate threads or sent messages appearing as green message bubbles instead of blue message bubbles when you set up a new device, update your settings using the following steps:

  1. Update your device to the latest version of iOS or iPadOS if needed.
  2. In the Settings app, tap Cellular. Make sure that your phone line is turned on. If you use multiple SIMs, make sure that the phone number you want to use is selected and turned on.
  3. In the Settings app, tap Messages. Turn iMessage off and then back on.
  4. Tap Send & Receive.
  5. Tap the phone number that you want to use with Messages."

Cheers!

I was planning to change carriers, and after following this thread I chose T-Mobile rather than Verizon. Not because of this specific issue (anyone can make a mistake), but the problems so many users had getting their tech support to recognize and fix it, and the fact that they won’t fix it across the board, but wait for each user to contact them.

I was having a terrible time sending group texts to Android and Apple devices simultaneously. This chat group was extremely helpful.

I have T-mobile and had to get connected to a “Senior” tech to solve the issue. 1st level tech support could not solve it.

it is a “provisioning” and blocking of messages in the Cellular network causing the issue. Once they made a few cellular network settings changes I can now send pictures and messages to Android and Apple Devices simultaneously again!!

thank you
