Importing AIFF CD Quality Files into Apple Music Subscription

I imported all of my CDs into Apple Music. I was considering subscribing to Apple Music until I read that all of my AIFF music files would be automatically reformatted and compressed into Apple’s lossless AAC file format. I’m not willing to accept that. I was tortured by that when I subscribed to iTunes Match.

Is there a way to subscribe to Apple Music but allow my higher quality AIFF files to remain in Music?

Hi Yer Man,

Thanks. I haven’t used iTunes Match for a long time. I don’t think Apple offers it anymore. That said, when I looked at the pros and cons of Apple’s new Music service one of the cons listed was the automatic reformatting AIFF to AAC. I was asking if there is a way to avoid that or if it is truly a given.
