AirPods no sound with Sony TV

For those of you who struggle with this like I did I found a solution that seems to work. Put the AirPods in pairing mode then on the TV go to Bluetooth settings and “add device”. Select your AirPods when they appear.

I did this even though the AirPods appeared in the list of paired devices. Just do it again.

Airpods connected to TV but no sound I've been having this issue for a couple of years, where i connect my airpods to the TV (LG and Samsung) and there's no sound coming out. Having disconnected and reconnected even up to 10 times, i'll find randomly it works and i get sound. I've looked through all the online threads - tried restarting TV, deleting the connection, all sorts of approaches, and none consistently work.

2023 AirPods Pro 2nd Gen USB-C Sound Issue With Samsung Smart TV I paired my AirPods Pro USB-C with my Samsung Smart TV and it connects fine. But as soon as a new episode plays (Netflix, Amazon Prime, HBO, Hulu, YouTube) or I go to a different app; they lose sound, yet they are still connected. I have to reconnect or re-select the connected AirPods to get them to work again. I reset, rebooted, checked for updates for AirPods and Samsung TV. I contacted Apple and Samsung. Apple said to contact Samsung. Samsung’s solution was for me to buy a new TV. I have been searching everywhere for similar issues. My Gen 1 AirPods work great, no issue. Is anyone else having this problem?
