I think its because of the proximity sensor being under the display, but the proximity sensor is slow on iphone 14 pro max. When I am hearing voice notes in whatsapp, bringing the phone near to ear doesn’t turn off the screen. It works sometimes but very slowly and causes mis-touches. Need some fix for this.

Updated to iOS 16.3 and problem still go on.
It’s not a WhatsApp isue
Whatsapp voice message 8 secs to lock
Telegram voice message 8 secs to lock
WhatsApp call 3 secs to lock
operstor call 3 secs to lock
its an OS issue already have ticket to Apple but they are slow apparently it’s something really easy to see ..a friend with brand new phone also has same problem .

i think it has nothing to do with whatsApp cause when on call the proximity sensor is also slow, and it takes a long time when i remove the phone from my ear it takes a long time to realize that i removed the phone
It happens with normal calls as well, just not much as whatsapp, thats all. But yeah overall the sensors feels slow to action.
Same issue on my iPhone 14 pro especially on WeChat and WhatsApp… anyone helps?
For me, its just with voice notes… I don’t think it’s a problem with the proximity sensor, it’s a problem with voice notes.

and on WhatsApp call sensor locks fast.
