Move to iOS from Android
So, does it download and install corresponding iOS apps on the new iOS device? For example WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, etc?

Move from Android to iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
I’ve read that article and while it says that all that information is transferred, it’s not clear what it does with it since you have to start with a wiped device. My question is if it will automatically download and install corresponding iOS apps to migrate the android data to? If not, then where does it live until I can manually migrate it after installing the apps myself. Thanks
For the record you have to manually download the iOS versions of the apps that were installed on the Android device. The WhatsApp data did come in after doing that though.
