I have iPhone 8 Plus. I received a message "Confirm iPhone Passcode" inviting me to reenter my passcode. Is this a genuine Apple message or a scam?

I have iPhone 8 Plus. I received a message instructing me to "Confirm iPhone Password" to keep using iCloud. Is this a genuine Apple message or a scam?

That depends on where you are seeing this message. If it's an SMS in the Messages App, the no, its not from apple.


If it's a system popup in a small bubble with a "Settings" button instead of a straight text box then it may be from Apple


You can always just go to Settings➜Account and verify you are logged in correctly.


Where are you seeing the message exactly? What where you doing before it appeared?
