When I send an email in AppleMail it goes to Outbox and does not send

When I send an email in AppleMail it does not send and go to Sent mail but instead goes into Outbox. When I double click on it in Outbox and then click Send, it goes right back into Outbox.

Mail will not send Apple mail. Nothing will send via Apple mail from any of the email accounts from any Apple device. Can though receive. Click on send, email vanishes but has not been sent or received by the addressees. Any ideas.

Gmail not sending via Apple Mail Hi, I’m having a problem whereby when I send a gmail message from Apple Mail on my iPad there are occasions, which appear to be completely random, when the message doesn’t get sent. I don’t realise this until a couple of days later when I haven’t received an expected reply. If I save the message to drafts and then send it, it nearly always goes without issue. However if I just hit the send button then sometimes the mail goes and other times I hear the “whoosh” but when I look in my sent box it’s not there ie it seems to have disappeared into the “ether”. I’ve deleted and reinstated the gmail account in Apple Mail, I’ve updated the gmail app on the iPad albeit I use the mail from my Apple Mail app. I have no idea why this is. Can anybody explain please?

Gmail ‘sent’ not showing sent emails When I write an email on my gmail using the ‘mail’ app on my iPad and my iPhone, the message I just sent does not show up anywhere: not in the ‘sent’ box, nor ‘outbox’, nor in the ‘drafts.’ And, it no longer shows up at the end of a string of messages if I’m responding to someone. This just started: I’ve made no changes to settings.
