Hi there,
9.2 is killing my battery on the watch. If I do the re-boot phone and watch trick, then is solves it, BUT I always turn my phone off at night. The watch battery performs as normal until I turn my phone on in the morning!!!
Again the only way to get back to normal is re-boot everything. My iPhone is on 16.2 and it's a 13
The watch was fine before the update, any suggestions???

Unlikely to be a software bug but maybe a software problem on your watch
Leave it on all the time even after doing this...
Unpair and erase your Apple Watch

If no better you may want to unpair then set up without restoring the backup

It is not a bug. If it was a bug, it would be effecting everyone who owns Apple Watch and that is not the case. Not even close. Neither of our Apple Watches (Series 7 and Ultra) are having any issues with rapid battery drain.
You need to determine what is causing your battery drain. You may have an app running in the background which is unnecessary? You may have location services on for things which aren't needed? You may have issues with your watch being away from your iPhone to a distance, which may be requiring your watch to try to connect to cellular service too much.
So many things can effect battery life. A software bug is not one of them.
First force restart the watch. i.e. press and hold both the side button and Digital Crown for at least 10 seconds, then release both buttons when you see the Apple logo.
Then while it is restarting Force Restart the paired iphone

Then leave it to settle
Turning the watch or your phone is not recommended unless you have a problem
Charge all night every night to reduce battery ageing
Use the Do not Disturb schedule

Yeah, but I didn't have the problem beforehand, so it's a software bug :)
The watch is always on (in sleep mode), I guess I'll have to leave the phone on until the next software update...
have the same issue on my series 4, first 2 days since update it would drain quickly then suddenly it was back to normal (without unpairing/rebooting the watch), then it drained quickly again
I am experiencing the same issues. Prior to the upgrade to 9.2 my battery would last a couple of days. After the upgrade my battery barely makes it through a day.
My SE usually has 40-50% battery left at bedtime. No bug here.
And my Ultra typically is in the 70-80% battery remaining range when I go to bed at night.
Iwatch battery with version 9.2 and iPhone 16.2 drains my watch in about 7 hours. Prior it would last 26+ hours. Any ideas on how to resolve?
