Cannot paste an item to disk

Hello,

I just got a new Mac Mini with Ventura 13.1 on it.

I'm trying to copy/paste a folder with synth presets from an external drive to Macintosh HD/Library/Audio/Presets/u-he/Diva

I can copy the folder, but when I right-click on the destination folder (Diva), I can't see the 'paste' option. Paste is also greyed out in the top menu under Edit.

Command-C/Command-V also doesn't work.

I made sure that 'read and write' permission was given to the Audio folder and all folders underneath.

I can't seem to give full permission to Macintosh HD and Library though, although I am the admin.

iMac (24-inch, M1, 2021, 2 ports)

The apps you are installing are creating those folders inside ~/Library/Audio

It does work in the Commander app though. Something wrong with Finder permissions?

Strange, I just tried the Commander app to drag the folder (easy with the double window) to the destination and this works.

That directory would be locked down. You would need to copy the /u-he/Diva folder and paste it into ~/Library/Audio/Presets/ You can then copy them into the Diva folder at that location.

I just started installing everything (I'm switching from PC).

I installed Nexus, Diva and Repro and so far I can see folders with presets under /Library/Audio/Presets/ReFX and /Library/Audio/Presets/u-he

I have to take back what I said. It is possible to create folders inside /Library/Audio. I just created a Preset folder myself. I didn't have an issue pasting or dragging files into it. Not sure why you had a problem with paste.

If there was something wrong with the Finder permissions I would think Commander One would have to obey them but I'm not sure. I don't use it. I don't know what the issue may be. Maybe someone else does.
