Simple class compliant MIDI Keyboard (M-Audio KeyStudio) with a single USB MIDI output shows as a device with a MIDI input in Audio MIDI setup, so I'm unable to route from it !!!

Tried removing device and rebooting and re-adding but still no luck. The fault has been there since pre Catalina and has found it's way to Ventura. Is there a plist fix somewhere that describes the device capabilities? Also, trying to add the device as a generic fails too as it is immediately recognised as an M-Audio KeyStudio.
