you can find the most recent version of a specific macOS by visiting How to download macOS - Apple Support.

but if you are looking for a specific version, such as 13.0.1, you can open terminal and enter this command:

softwareupdate --list-full-installers

that will show you the available macOS versions. if the one you want to use is available, you can use this terminal command:

softwareupdate --fetch-full-installer --full-installer-version 11.2.3

where you can substitute 11.2.3 for the available version you would like to use.

You can get Monterey, or Big Sur, and so on down the past versions, but AFAICT, only the last versions of each.

Note that to install an older OS it will be necessary to wipe your mac drive completely - and there may be some caveats, like some software you are running may need to use an older version; and I gather that Photos libraries created or updated for Ventura will not work in earlier versions (I can't confirm that).

So the 13.0.1 installer is available.

However, you will have to erase your boot drive entirely and reinstall 13.0.1 and then migrate your user data from a Time Machine backup. Also your Photos library may not work with the earlier Photos version without repairing. It's iffy at best.

What problems are you having with 13.1? I found it had fixed the several minor issues I had with 13.0.1. EWhere is your library located? If on an external HD how is that drive formatted and connected to your Mac?

Describe you issues in detail and we can try to find a solution for you. It'll be easier than going backward.

What happened exactly?

There is not so much that is different between 13.0.1. and 13.1.

Did you try restarting in Safe Mode? Besides being slow (which is expected in Safe Mode), do you see the same sort of problems that you see when booted normally?

In theory, if the Ventura Full Version of 13.0.1 is still offered by Apple - this method might be possible to move back a version

Terminal command to check for available Full Version of macOS available and this computer Qualifies to run

Terminal command below to manually down the 13.01 Ventura ( is available ) or Monterey

softwareupdate --fetch-full-installer --full-installer-version 13.0.1

softwareupdate --fetch-full-installer --full-installer-version 12.6.2

In both cases - it download the Full version But does not Auto Launch

It does create a new Application in Applications folder by the name of either Ventura or Monterey
