My air tag won't show up in my Bluetooth list of devices.

My new AirTag beeped, showed up in the animation on my Lock Screen. I named it but when I went to Bluetooth to use it with FindMy, it's not in the list of Bluetooth devices. I took out the battery 5 times to reset it now the animation won't appear. What's up?
