Huge disparity between “iPad Apple Weather” and “Dark Sky” in both the NOW and the Forecast

Why is there a huge disparity between the MyLocation “iPad Apple Weather” and the hyper local “Dark Sky”. There is a 6* diff in current temp (and I don’t have a thermometer to se which is correct) and a considerably different forecast for Hi/Lo temp and Chance of Precipitation %’s as well. I am assuming that Apple Weather is reporting/forecasting the same level of “hyper local” location as Dark Sky is… Dark Sky says it’s using my actual street address (including. House number) location while Apple only calls out the street name as a reference.

Sad to see Dark Sky go away… but I like the new Apple weather. But it would be nice to know that we are not going backwards in data and forecast accuracy.

(I’m completely up to date on operating systems … currently iOS 16.2 and iPadOS 16.2 and App updates)

iPad Pro, iPadOS 16
