Apple Pencil No Longer Working

Hello. So the other day I left the Apple Pencil 1 provided by my university to charge in the IPad while home for Christmas. At some point the IPad was bumped by someone and remained charging with the Apple Pencil partially bearing the weight of the IPad. It wasn't bent or torqued. All the components visually seem fine. However, the pen will no longer write.

I've ensured that the pen is charged (around 60%) and connected (plugged in to the ipad, removed, and still shows up on the menu with the battery indicator).

Assuming that the pressure had damaged the pen tip I quickly bought a new set of pen tips and swapped the tip, only to discover that wasn't the issue (still won't write).

I wanted to check to see if there are any other suggestions for fixing the pen before I give up on it?

As described, the transducer element (that sits immediately under the replaceable tip) may have suffered damage.

If the metal transducer element is intact, you can try replacing the tip - ensuring that the replacement is screwed snugly into position; correctly positioned, you should see a tiny gap, of about the thickness of a sheet of paper, between the tip and pencil body.

If replacing the pencil tip does not resolve this issue, or the tip is not correctly positioned in relation to the pencil body when fitted, then your Pencil is likely to have suffered irreparable damage.
