My iPad refuses to draw on a specific area.

This happened weeks ago, and for some reason, my iPad is refusing to draw on a specific horizontal line. I noticed this problem when I’m simply trying to draw on procreate with my apple pencil. The same thing occurs when I draw with my finger. I thought procreate was the issue, but as I tried to draw on other drawing platforms the same issue happened. I’ve hard reset my iPad, and refreshed the app. The same problem still occurs. I’m using the iPad 6 with the 1st generation apple pencil. I haven’t had any recent damage of both devices. Is there a way I can fix this?

Hello enie224,

Thanks for choosing the Apple Support Communities. It would appear part of the screen is not working properly. We have a few steps that will help you find a path to resolution. Let's follow them below.

"If the screen isn't working on your iPhone or iPad

You might need to set up service for your device.

If your screen is too sensitive or responds intermittently to touch

  1. Restart your iPhone or iPad.
  2. Make sure that your screen is clean and free of any debris or water.
  3. Disconnect any Lightning or USB-C accessories. If your screen works after removing an accessory, try using a different outlet, cable, or charger.
  4. Remove any cases or screen protectors.

Thank you so much for your reply. My iPad started going to back to normal when I switched to wifi. This is because wifi hasn’t been available in my house for weeks! (As I used cellular data to write my problem of course.) I hope it isn’t a coincidence though! But I really appreciate your reply and thank you for using your time to help me.
