Saving Voice Mail Message to Voice Memos App

Hello,

I often save Voice Mail Messages to the Voice Memos App on iPhone. A few years ago, the iPhone would automatically include the contact's name and date & time of the voicemail message in the Voice Memo name. This doesn't happen anymore. Does anyone know if it's possible to get that feature back? It was really convenient!

Thank you,

Garrett

Hello Garrett_1,

That's a fantastic question! While a default name appears when saving a voicemail, you can manually change the title before saving the voicemail in Voice Memos. Apple appreciates all feedback regarding their products, services, and features. If you would like to provide this feedback for Apple to Review, you can do so via the Product Feedback website. You can also find the steps for changing the voicemail name listed below.

  1. "Tap Voicemail, then tap a message.
  2. Do any of the following:
    • Play the message: Tap the Play button.
    • Messages are saved until you delete them or your carrier erases them.
    • Share the message: Tap the Share button.
    • Delete the message: Tap the Delete button."

3.Tap Voice Memos.

4.Delete the auto-populated name, then enter in the desire name.

5.Tap save.

Check your voicemail on iPhone

Take care!
