iphone 12 won't update to ios 15.7.2

My iphone keeps saying I need to be connected to the internet (which I am), and it will not update to ios 15.7.2. What do I do?

You can update your iPhone 12 to iOS 16.2

You need about 6 GB device storage and good Service & Wi-Fi.

If they are On, turn Off Hotspot & VPN.

Charge the battery > 70%.

Thank you for this information. However, these things were not the answer to my problem. After doing all of this, it still said the same thing. I did some more research online and FINALLY found my answer! I still had a beta version of a previous IOS update on my phone. That's why it kept showing that I could only update to IOS 15.7.2, and not IOS 16. Once I removed the beta version, it updated to IOS 16 with no problems!😅 I hope this answer helps someone else who is having the same problem and was as frustrated as I was!😉
