Watch stopped showing sunrise and sunset

With your phone, go into Settings, >Privacy & Security, >Location Services, >Apple Watch Faces and set to "While Using the App"

Problem solved ;-)

have you tried to edit complications and add it the face I use never had it as default so I had to add it manually back in the day
