You Already Own This/Restore Purchases Issue

So a few years ago I purchased a package in a game. In the meantime the devs changed things and the package became obsolete compared to a new package that included the same exact things. It was basically an access to everything in the game type thing. I contacted the devs and they sent me a code to access this new package. When entering the code I get a pop up that says “You already own this: If you don’t see it, you may need to restore it.” So I went into the game and clicked restore purchases. It didn’t work. Devs sent me a new code. Actually several. And none have worked. I deleted my account and made a new one. Still didn’t work. They’re stopped. I’m stumped. I play the game regularly, it’s kind of like a mindless distraction kind of thing. So it is a bummer to not be able to play the way I paid to.
