Identity of ipad

Many websites will identify your device by the information that the website receives from your Browser App. iPadOS will identify the Safari browser agent as being an Apple Mac computer.

To reiterate, when using the Safari browser, websites will identify you iPad browser as being an Apple Mac computer. This is entire normal and as expected.

What do you mean it identifies as a Mac? Where are you seeing this identification exactly?

What do you mean by "it does on Apple ID"? Do you mean it has the word Mac in its name in the device list at https://appleid.apple.com?
