Is no longer a way to get my ethernet to work on my MacPro? Sure seems so. 12/23/22

Is there no longer a way the ethernet to work on a MacPro 2021? It worked a few days ago, but not anymore. Now always defaults to wifi, no matter what I do.

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 10.12

your primary Internet connection is always made to the TOPMOST, working interface

shown in the list of interfaces at

system preferences > network

use the gear icon under the list to 'set Service order' and drag Ethernet TOPMOST. When not plugged in, it will not be working, so Wi-Fi will be used instead.

If not showing status equivalent to working, please post its status.
