My iPhone no longer allows me to switch languages

Previously, I could switch between languages on my phone by going to General, Language & Region, and just press the name of one of the languages I had set my phone to. But the names no longer respond to being pressed. I have to delete the name of the language I want, then add it again, at which point I can switch to it. Did something change that no longer allows you to quickly switch languages? I can't find anyone else with this same problem (i.e., the buttons no longer working).

Thanks for posting in Apple Support Communities! We'd like to help with languages on your iPhone.

You mentioned not being able to reorder your preferred languages by pressing. Are you pressing the 3 parallel lines to the right side of the language listed? Pressing there should allow to you quickly reorder.

If that is where you're pressing, have you tried restarting your iPhone? This is a simple step that can often times resolve unknown issues like this: Restart your iPhone - Apple Support

Thanks but I’m not trying to reorder the languages; I’m trying to switch languages. And yes, I’ve tried rebooting my phone, which doesn’t solve the problem. The only way I can change languages anymore is to delete one and reinstall it.
