Were exactly is the NFC sensor located in the iPhone SE (2020)?

So how should I hold the phone best when paying with the iPhone?

Precise contact using Apple Pay is not required. You can simply tap your iPhone to the contactless card reader in any place as long as it's the back making contact with the reader and not the front/display. Personally, I just tap the top part of the back of my iPhone, near where the rear camera is, and it works every time. :)
