NFC on iPhone SE and Freestyle Libre

Hi, my phone has stopped scanning my sensor and from googling I can see it might be the NFC. Apple checked my phone and said it’s fine. I’m waiting to speak to the developer of the app I use but from what I’ve read they will blame Apple. My question is can I use a third party nfc app to get around this or do I have to get a new phone? I’ve had it for 1 and a half years and it’s working ok otherwise. Or if anyone can think of another way around this I would be grateful. There is supposed to be a reader available but it’s not available to purchase on their website. Thanks in advance.
