Why does my AirPod charging case not work

I recently got my AirPods (2nd gen) a little earlier this year. My AirPods case no longer seems to work. I haven't dropped the case or thrown it around, I've kept it in good care. I'm wondering if it is a manufacturing fault. The case doesn't light up anymore with the flashing light. I've tried to charge the case but it no longer works I think. I'm really unsure why. I still have the case, it is in good condition, however it just doesn't charge my AirPods, which I think is the main issue.

Is there a way to fix this. Does Apple have certain policies on manufacturing faults? Just curious, as I really did love to use my AirPods. It's my first time I've had and used wireless ear buds and they were amazing.

Kind regards

Stefan

You can get your AirPods serviced, along with an estimate of the repair price: AirPods Repair & Service - Apple Support.

Depending on if you have AppleCare on your AirPods, you may be entitled to a free battery service. You can check the status of your warranty by following these steps:

  1. Open Settings on your iPhone or iPad
  2. Tap Bluetooth > the 'i' next to your AirPods
